Cookie Policy
Which tracking technologies this website uses and how to manage your consent.
Overview
This Cookie Policy explains which data-storage technologies this website uses, for what purposes, and on what legal basis.
We distinguish between technically necessary storage and optional analytics services that are only activated after your consent.
Technically necessary storage
- Name
- cookie-consent (localStorage)
- Purpose
- Storing your consent decision (accepted / rejected)
- Provider
- This website (first-party)
- Storage location
- Browser local storage (localStorage) — not an HTTP cookie
- Duration
- Until manually deleted in your browser
When you visit this website, your consent decision is stored in your browser's local storage (localStorage). No tracking cookie is set.
This storage is technically required for the consent management system to function correctly and does not require separate consent.
Vercel Web Analytics (only with your consent)
- Purpose
- Statistical analysis of page views, visitor counts, referrers, device type, operating system, browser, and country
- Provider
- Vercel Inc., 340 Pine Street Suite 701, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA
- Storage mechanism
- No persistent browser cookie; server-side aggregation
- Data transfer
- USA (processing on Vercel infrastructure; no EU adequacy decision in place)
- Retention
- Aggregated statistics for up to 90 days
- Privacy policy
- https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
With your consent, Vercel Web Analytics is activated. This service enables privacy-conscious analysis of website usage without cross-site tracking.
Vercel Analytics does not store persistent user identifiers and does not set third-party cookies. Instead, page views are counted using a short-lived, server-side-derived identifier.
Vercel Speed Insights (only with your consent)
- Purpose
- Measuring Core Web Vitals (loading time, interactivity, visual stability) for technical quality assurance
- Provider
- Vercel Inc., 340 Pine Street Suite 701, San Francisco, CA 94104, USA
- Storage mechanism
- Session-scoped measurement; no persistent browser cookie
- Data transfer
- USA (processing on Vercel infrastructure)
- Retention
- Session data; aggregated metrics for up to 90 days
- Privacy policy
- https://vercel.com/legal/privacy-policy
With your consent, Vercel Speed Insights is activated. This service measures Core Web Vitals to maintain website loading performance.
Consent and withdrawal
Your consent is voluntary. You can withdraw it at any time for future visits by clicking "Cookie settings" at the bottom of any page.
After withdrawal, no new analytics data will be transmitted. Data already transmitted to Vercel cannot be deleted retroactively, as Vercel does not delete individual personal records on request.
Alternatively, you can manually remove the cookie-consent entry in your browser's local storage via Developer Tools → Application → Local Storage.
Legal basis
Storage of the consent decision (localStorage) is based on legitimate interest under Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR to accurately document your preference.
Vercel Analytics and Speed Insights are activated exclusively on the basis of your explicit consent under Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR in conjunction with Section 25(1) TDDDG (German Telecommunications Digital Services Data Protection Act, formerly TTDSG).
As no adequacy decision by the European Commission under Art. 45 GDPR exists for the USA, the data transfer to the USA is based on your explicit consent under Art. 49(1)(a) GDPR.
Changes to this policy
We reserve the right to update this policy when our services or legal requirements change. For material changes, fresh consent will be requested.
